Meet Brad Ypma, Partner at Famme & Co.’s London office.

Brad joined the firm in 2009 after earning his Honours BA in Economics and Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University. He received his CPA, CA designation in 2013 and became a partner in 2021.

Today, Brad works with individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations across a wide range of sectors, including agri-business, retail, manufacturing, professional services and charities. He has particular expertise in audit and assurance, helping organizations and business owners navigate their evolving needs with confidence.

Outside the office, Brad lives in Thorndale with his wife, Meredith, and their four children, and has also served his community as Treasurer of Talbot Street Church in London.

We’re pleased to share that Franklin H. Famme, FCPA, FCA will be speaking at an upcoming St. Marys Healthcare Foundation event focused on Philanthropy, Taxes & Planned Giving.

Franklin will share insight into retirement and end-of-life tax planning, including how tax-efficient charitable giving can be incorporated into an overall estate plan.

The free session will take place Wednesday, October 21 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at the Friendship Centre in St. Marys. Registration is available through Activenet or by contacting the Friendship Centre.

We’re looking forward to Franklin sharing his knowledge and helping make an important area of financial planning a little easier to understand.

Famme & Co. is looking for an Intermediate Staff Accountant to join our St. Marys team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with accounting experience who is ready to continue building their skills, take on more responsibility and grow within a supportive public accounting environment.

In this role, you’ll work with a variety of clients, gain hands-on experience across accounting and tax work, and be part of a collaborative team committed to professional growth.

We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and eager to continue developing their accounting career.

Meet Jenna Erb, our first feature in the Faces of Famme series.

Jenna joined Famme & Co. in May 2023, returning to a career path she had always been drawn to. After taking accounting at Conestoga College following high school, she spent several years on a different path before finding her way back to working with numbers.

What motivates Jenna most is simple: doing work she can feel good about at the end of the day.

The best career advice she has received? Never give up. It’s advice that fits her own journey pretty well.

And one surprising fact about Jenna? She’s never been on a plane!
