FYI starting Monday May 4th appointments will be necessary. Our hourly rates start at $75 depending on what your needs are. Coming in to our office and taking up our time with questions on the pretense of hiring us is not to be tolerated anymore. Our clients get the best possible service available, however we ask that you respect our process. Dropping off documents does not require an appointment however if you wish to speak with Olivia you will need an appointment. Sometimes a quick questions turns into 40 minutes of explanations...please book an appointment. Our hours will also change back to our regular schedule for this time of year.

We charge $100 for late comers. Today only as we reserve the last day for our business clients and their families.

FYI: I just got off the phone with a new income tax client that was told by a previous tax provider that her cleaning business was to be reported as a hobby. Therefore no use of home office expenses and no vehicle expenses. This might not be very much however you are allowed up to 15% for a office space in your home ex: a bedroom, you can deduct mortgage interest, insurance, heat, hydro, and printer for invoices, laptop and office supplies. Your vehicle expenses insurance, fuel and repairs and maintenance and CCA of the value of your vehicle. Anytime you made an income over $500.00 in a year and you are self employed you have the right to use these expenses.

FYI People have this misconception they if they owe taxes they wait until the very last minute to file because they believe that the day they file they have to pay. You can file your taxes anytime and on the 30th of April is the day you pay what you owe without being charged any penalty or interest. If you wait until the last minute and for some reason can't pay for a day or two you will be penalized 10% of the amount you owe and daily interest. Why play that game, just get in, file your taxes and close to the end of the month of April pay them or make payment arrangements in advance. We are open on Saturday! Drop off envelopes are available at the entrance.

Is it time yet? It's the perfect time, all your slips should be in and it's not last minute. A quick reminder to our clients that the last day we accept returns is Saturday April 25th, after that date we cannot guarantee filing by the deadline. We are here for your convenience but we will not work until midnight on April 30th stressed out and worrying if the internet will fail us. Remember our area is known for power outages and waiting until the very last minute to get your taxes done is irresponsible. Get your stuff together and come see us. If you are missing slips and you still don't have them by the 15th drop in "we can help".
