Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Stanley Theatre for Come From Away.

It was such a special afternoon filled with laughter, music, connection, and an important reminder of the difference kindness can make.

The story of Gander shows us that even the smallest acts of generosity can create lasting memories. We are so grateful we were able to share this meaningful experience with our clients, friends and Endeavour Wealth partners.

From kindness grows something beautiful.

One of the questions I use to ask clients was, "When do you want to retire?"

Now it's, "What do you want an average Tuesday to look like?"

It's surprising how often people know the date they want to retire, but haven't thought about what life will actually look like once they get there.

Will you volunteer?
Travel?
Babysit grandchildren?
Start a small business?
Sleep in?
Learn to fish?
Take up painting?

The financial plan is simply the tool that helps make that vision possible.

The happiest retirees I've met didn't just retire from work. They retired to something meaningful.

If you're within 10 years of retirement, now is a great time to start planning both your finances and your future lifestyle. They go hand in hand.

What does your ideal Tuesday look like?

🍫 Happy World Chocolate Day!

Anyone who knows us knows that chocolate is basically one of my food groups.

Life is all about balance.

Save for the future, enjoy the present, and never feel guilty about treating yourself to a little chocolate once in a while.

Wishing you a day that's as sweet as your favourite chocolate!

Every now and then I tackle the junk drawer in my house. The drawer full of random cords, old batteries, takeout menus, and things I'm convinced I'll need someday.

As I was cleaning one out recently (I have more than one), it made me think about how easy it is for our financial lives to become cluttered too.

Over the years, accounts get opened, insurance policies are purchased, investment statements pile up, and important documents get tucked away "somewhere safe."

Before long, it can be difficult to remember exactly what you have and where everything is.

One of the most valuable things you can do is take an afternoon to get organized. Make a list of your accounts, investments, insurance policies, pensions, and important documents ie. wills.

Not only will it help you feel more in control, but it can make life much easier for your family if they ever need to step in.

Financial planning isn't always about making big changes. Sometimes it's simply about knowing where everything is and making sure it still fits your life today.

How long has it been since you did a financial spring cleaning?

"I've been meaning to do something about my finances, but life just keeps getting in the way."

And honestly, we get it.

Between work, family, aging parents, helping adult children, and everything else on your plate, it's easy to put financial planning on the back burner.

But what I've learned over the years is that the cost of waiting isn't always obvious.

Waiting to start a retirement plan.
Waiting to review your investments.
Waiting to update your will.
Waiting to understand whether you're actually on track for the future you want.

The goal isn't to have everything figured out today.

It's simply to take the first step.

If you've been putting off financial planning because you're not sure where to start, you're not alone. Most of the people I meet felt exactly the same way before we first sat down together.

A conversation doesn't commit you to anything.

It simply gives you clarity, answers, and a better understanding of your options.

Sometimes the hardest part is just getting started.

I am happy to just talk - no pressure.

Like many of you, I find myself part of the "sandwich generation".

Supporting an aging parent while working full time and still helping children or young adult children navigate life's challenges.

Some days it can feel like you're being pulled in multiple directions at once.

Financially, this stage of life often comes with competing priorities:

✔ Helping parents with care needs
✔ Supporting children through school, housing, or major life transitions
✔ Saving for your own retirement
✔ Managing debt and everyday expenses

One of the biggest challenges is that it's easy to put your own needs on the back burner while you're busy taking care of everyone else.

A financial plan can't remove these pressures, but it can help you make informed decisions, understand your options, and create a path forward that balances today's responsibilities with tomorrow's goals.

If you're caring for family on both sides, here's something I remind myself of, and many of my clients as well: taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, and financially is not optional.

It's essential.

Looking after your own well-being and financial future isn't selfish. In fact, it's one of the most important things you can do for the people who depend on you.

If you're feeling stretched between caring for others and planning for your own future, it may be time to take a step back and make sure your plan still reflects your priorities. Sometimes a conversation is all it takes to bring a little more clarity and confidence to the road ahead.

Trying to perfectly time the market can feel tempting, especially when headlines are constantly changing and markets feel unpredictable. But history has shown that long-term success usually comes from consistency, patience, and having a thoughtful plan, not reacting emotionally to short-term market swings.

Missing just a few of the market’s strongest days can have a significant impact on long-term returns. That is why staying invested and focused on your bigger goals matters so much.

We help clients build personalized plans designed around their lives, retirement goals, tax strategies, and comfort with risk. During uncertain times, having a plan and someone to guide you through it can make all the difference.

Our goal is to help bring clarity, confidence, and perspective so you can feel more comfortable focusing on life, not daily market noise.

Uncertainty can feel uncomfortable, especially when headlines change daily and markets react quickly. But successful investing has never been about predicting every twist and turn. It’s about having a thoughtful plan, staying disciplined, and focusing on the long term.

Some of the best financial decisions are often the calmest ones.

Volatility is normal. Emotions are temporary. A well-built plan is designed to weather both.

Besides you have better things to do with your time. Let us do the planning for you.
