🇨🇦 New Grocery Rebate Payment Coming Soon!
Big news for those in Canada! A one-time grocery support payment is scheduled to arrive on June 5th, 2026. 🗓️

A one-time top-up equivalent to 50% of your total GST/HST credit for the 2024-2025 benefit year. 💰

🗓️ Phase 1: One-Time Top-Up (June 5, 2026)A lump-sum payment will be issued this June to help offset rising food costs. This is an immediate bonus based on your 2024 tax return.
Maximum Amounts:
Single Individuals: Up to $267 👤
Married/Common-law: Up to $349 👥
Families with Children: Up to $717 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Phase 2: Ongoing Support (Starting July 2026)
Starting in July, the traditional GST credit is being officially replaced by the Canada Groceries & Essentials Benefit.

What’s New: This benefit will provide higher regular quarterly payments—increasing by 25%—to help with the cost of living over the next five years.

Basis: These payments will be calculated using your 2025 tax return.

🚨 The #1 Mistake to Avoid:
No Tax Return = No Money. If you haven’t filed your taxes, the CRA cannot calculate your eligibility. You will receive $0—missing out on both the June top-up and the new regular monthly benefits. ❌
