We’re truly thankful for YOU, our amazing clients who trust us with your T4s, your spreadsheets, and that one crumpled donation receipt from 2017 you can't recall using. 😅 Thank you for your loyalty, your referrals, your patience in April, and the occasional box of cookies. We’re also grateful for all of your support over the years, an in particular for your continued business after Candi & AJ moved back to BC to be closer to family.

Well, that was fun while it lasted. 🙃
Remember back in late June, when B.C. announced that starting October 1, you'd pay 7% PST to have your taxes done? We registered. We set up the tax codes. We rehearsed our "yes, there's now tax on your tax prep" speech in the mirror.
And now the Province has paused the PST expansion on professional services, just days before it was supposed to start. 🎉
What that means for you:
✅ No PST on accounting, bookkeeping or tax prep. You pay GST only, same as always.
✅ Your invoice won't pick up a surprise 7% on October 1.
✅ You get to keep a little more of your refund. (You're welcome. We did nothing.)
The fine print (we're tax people, there's always fine print): It's a pause, not a cancellation. It's still in the budget and no new start date has been announced. We'll keep an eye on it so you don't have to.
So you can put the calculator down for now. Nothing changes on your bill, for now. See you at tax time, when this may have changed again. 😉

📢 Important Update Regarding Our Pricing

We want to keep our clients informed of an upcoming change that will affect how our services are billed.

Effective October 1, 2026, BC Provincial Sales Tax (PST) will now apply to accounting and tax services in British Columbia. (UHG!)

Here's what that means for you:

🏢 Corporate Services – PST will be added to your invoices starting October 1, 2026.

🏠 Personal Tax Services – We've got you covered. PST will be included in your current pricing at no extra cost to you, until we update our rates in 2027.

We're committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and will keep you updated as things evolve. If you have any questions about how this affects your specific situation, don't hesitate to reach out — we're always happy to help!

The CGEB benefit payment amounts are in your CRA account now.
