After a year that saw food prices increase by numbers we have not seen in decades, reports suggest that the cost of groceries in Canada are expected to continue to rise in 2023. Studies suggest that the food prices will increase another five to seven percent and these price hikes will be seen across all food groups 🥙
Researchers believe that a typical family of four will be spending an average of $16,288 on food over the course of 2023. This is an increase of $1065 from the year before. A couple will spend $7711, which is a bump of more than $500 from 2022.
