The “5 CD of Credit” is a common phrase used to describe the five major factors used to determine a potential buyers creditworthiness when applying for a mortgage

1️⃣ CHARACTER - do you pay your bills on time?

2️⃣CAPACITY - can you repay the loan?

3️⃣ CAPITAL- what are your assets and net worth?

4️⃣ COLLATERAL- what assets do you have to secure the loan?
