Please be aware that there is a group of individuals posing as Internal Affairs employees going door to door. They carry documents and letterhead from the Ministry of Home Affairs and claim they need to verify IDs for the upcoming census. These impostors are stealing from homes.

They appear professional and well-dressed. Someone may come to your house asking to take your photo or fingerprint as part of a supposed scheme. They have a laptop, biometric machine, and a list of names. They will show you documents and request your personal information.

Please be informed that there is no such initiative by the government. This is a scam. Do not provide them with any information.

Everyone needs to be vigilant and aware. Share this message with all your community groups, family, and friends.
