Lightwater Partners is a Toronto based hedge fund. Founded in 2007, Lightwater Partners (“Lightwater”) is an independent Toronto based investment manager.

Lightwater Partners is a Portfolio Manager registered in Canada with the Ontario Securities Commission. Lightwater’s focus is a balanced one; to protect capital and manage risk while providing consistent risk adjusted absolute returns. Lightwater, using a disciplined bottom-up fundamental investment process, manages a number of funds that attempt to exploit mispriced /under researched securities.

Lightwater manages the Lightwater Long Short Fund whose strategy targets annual volatility of less than 10% and aims to produce annual returns of 10% to 12% per year. Lightwater also manages Lightwater’s newest fund, the Nimble Fund which is a long/ short strategy focused on Canadian small to mid-cap equity that are undiscovered or under-researched by the street. The Lightwater Long Short Fund is a long investment fund with the objective of delivering attractive long-term returns to our investors. We do this by identifying undervalued opportunities, primarily in the North American capital markets using bottom-up fundamental analysis combined with a value investing methodology.
