Yaletown Accounting is a small boutique accounting firm in the heart of Yaletown. We specialize in personal Canadian and US tax returns. While we do not file corporate tax returns at our office, we provide bookkeeping services to a select group of business clients.
We are seeking a full-time permanent Administrative Assistant to assist with the day-to-day operations of our small accounting office. This role offers hands on experience across a broad range of administrative and office functions. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a small team and open office environment. Please note this position is administrative in nature and may not be ideal for someone seeking accounting or tax preparation experience.
Main responsibilities of the position include:
• Data entry of client tax information using Adobe Acrobat and Intuit Profile (tax software)
• Maintaining prompt and professional correspondence with clients using Outlook
• Receive, sort and process incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail
• Total and reconcile tax slips using Excel
• Perform basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online
• Provide general clerical and administrative support as needed
Skills we are looking for:

• Strong customer service and time management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload efficiently and work well under pressure
• Experience with Outlook, Word and Excel is an asset but not required
Work details:
• The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
• Pay range is $20 to $25 per hour based on experience
• A health spending account allowance will be offered after 3 months of employment
• Remote work is not available
