🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

On September 30th, 2024, Vohora LLP will be closed to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This important day allows us to reflect on the history of residential schools and honour the children who never returned home, as well as the survivors and their families.

We encourage everyone to take this time to learn about the ongoing impacts of residential schools on Indigenous communities and to engage in meaningful conversations about reconciliation.

As you may be aware, in 2023, the Department of Finance and the Canada Revenue Agency finalized new Trust Reporting Rules. These regulations now mandate that previously exempt trust relationships must file a T3 Trust Tax Return by April 2, 2024. It is crucial to note that these rules might catch individuals and businesses unaware.

Considering the approaching due date, if you find yourself in a situation where filing a trust tax return is necessary, we kindly request that you inform our office as soon as possible, whether you require our assistance. We understand that tax compliance in Canada has become increasingly burdensome, complicated, and costly over the past year.
