"If you're going to tell me to get the rice cooked, chicken on the stove, and the tea kettle ready by the time you get home from work then I have to learn how to swim in the deep end."

I remember requesting this from my Father at age of 9. The very next week, he signed me up at a gym... but he said that I will be too scared, "you will have to drown to swim back up if you want to learn fast and I won't help when you ask for help". This guy wasn't joking! He threw a brick of 10 kg in the deep end and instructed me to bring it back up by imagining that 15 seconds of holding my breath is kind of like 3 seconds and once I pick the brick up then all I had to do is keep imagining that it'has only been 3 seconds. "Dogs even know how to swim so you can too" (*Sigh* how motivataional!).

That's the way I learned to swim by facing my fears that I might drown and nobody is going to save me.

Abobe all, truely to win in life is to be coachable and find a solution to a problem!

My solution to the problem of getting a meal ready was to learn something else I enjoyed!

Before you start anything new, many thoughts can come to mind .. The brain can be so powerful that it can allow you to see things that you can't... You've got to "train your brain because it's like a muscle".

“This may seem like a throwaway tip, but it is one of the most important. Getting out of debt is hard. It takes maintaining discipline over a long period of time. It demands lifestyle changes. It also sometimes requires bucking peer pressure.

While you shouldn’t build a plan so austere that it would be impossible to stick to, you will have to make some tough choices. If you’re used to treating yourself to spa days or shopping sprees or wild nights out, you’re going to have to give up some of these tangible and expensive pleasures in order to obtain what right now seems like the abstract state of being debt-free. If you and your partner are collectively in debt, they’ll need to be on board as well. It’s not possible to do this on your own if your other half is still spending up a storm.

Before you embark on this journey that will last months, if not years, think about how sweet it will be to be debt-free and be able to pursue other dreams you have, whether it’s buying a house, taking big vacations every year, sending your children to college, or something else. If those goals are more important to you than nights out and wearing the latest styles, then you have the mindset to get out of debt.

For motivation, create a visual reminder of what you’re working toward, such as a photo of the kind of house you’d like to buy, or the destination you plan on hitting when you can afford it. Put the image in your wallet, on your computer — wherever you spend money — to remind yourself of what you’d really like to do with it!”

𝐓𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟, 𝐧𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭 – 𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞.

- To be clear, operating earnings per share (EPS) [which takes into account the effect of higher provisions for loan losses] did fall substantially in 2020, with a median earnings drop of 18% for the Canadian banks.

- Provisions for loan losses (PCLs) went up over 100%, which is substantial. When we look at the earnings behaviour of the Canadian banks versus their US counterparts, widely considered to be better capitalized and having less risk, Canadian banks did comparatively better.

- We can also see this in relative share price performance, with Canadian banks so far outperforming their US counterparts.

So far on a year to date basis, provisions are no longer growing – in fact, they are .
