Thank you to the entire Advocis Vancouver Island team!!! What a wonderful event of top talent local Vancouver Island Financial Planner's and Advisors - what a talented group!!

How amazing were the speakers and workshop presenters, just brilliant - thank you to Money Mapping speakers - Angie Bisset and Robyn Dickson, if you can book in with these amazing women you are in for a treat!!

Janell Karst-Szczepanowski - www.thebadassplanner.com and the Badass Coach!! Check out the best planning guide possible - been a game changer for me this year so far!!

We also had economic updates from a great economist, updates from Manulife, HomeEquity Bank, National Health Claim, Canada Life and from local advisors.

If you are a Financial Advisor on Vancouver Island and not attending the local Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada events, then you are missing out!! And if you are a client and working with a Financial Planner - ask if they are a member of Advocis and attending these kind of high level events.

Also what a brilliant backdrop working with Olympic View Golf Club and Table Nineteen !!! What a great team to work with there and a gorgeous venue and room to work in!!

Happy International Women's Day!!!

Although I have lost two of the most important women in my life over the last few years - Mother and Grandmother - it humbles me every day that I have been so fortunate and blessed to have the incredible responsibility to help be there and guide 3 of the most driven and amazing young women possible ❤️ I learn so much from them every day...and no matter how hard some days may be...the journey I am lucky enough to be part of with them in my life is so rewarding!!

Thank you to my amazing partner and cheerleader, our family would not be where it is without you ❤️ 💕

I hope you all have as much support and gifts from the amazing women in your lives and may we all take a moment to truly appreciate how incredible the women in the world today are today, how much they do and do for our communities!!!

I am continuously reminded by every woman''s Impact in the world at every board meeting that I attend (often out-numbered, if not the only guy at many) to the charity events to local non-profit organizations that we need and work with - most often of the time, women make up a much larger percentage and often are 80-90% of the individuals involved!!!

Thank you all so very much for your passion to continue to make the world a better place and for your courage, optimism and inherent belief that the future will be a better place for our children 😊

Happy Holidays everyone!!! During the rush of the season, making sure every last minute detail is sorted, it is amazing to walk into my favorite breakfast restaurant downtown Victoria - Frankie's Modern Diner Victoria !!! And get greeted with the best Oat Milk Late as always without even having to ask!!! Ahhhhh, the small comforts in life - spoiled by just great people and great service!!

Looking forward to another 50-100 visits in 2024!!! Haha!!!

Thank you all so very much for the wonderful birthday wishes and checking in on this old kid 😉 really nice to hear from and catch up with many from near and far!!! It's just starting to sink in for the start of my 41st year...this past week has been full and incredibly grateful for the amazing community I am lucky enough to be apart of and ensuring I am staying as thankful and grateful and appreciate as possible - from being apart of an amazing fundraiser where we have raised over $22,000 now and more donations and offers for support continue to come in (even resumes and job applications!!) to hosting our annual Estate Planning Day with colleagues from across the Financial Planning world and being voted in as the incoming President for our local Financial Planning Association Chapter (Thank you very much for the trust and confidence) to being able to finally relax and sit back a bit celebrating with some dear friends, some who I have been close friends with for the past 20 years (how lucky is that)!!!

If this is how my 41st year is getting started, I am certainly looking forward to all of the fun and excitement and opportunities that the rest of this year will bring.

Thank you all for being a part of the journey and looking forward to helping and supporting all those I can :)

Thank you You CHEF You !!!! Another amazing meal and the extra tips and ideas made me look like a pro!! Lol, or more life a chef 😉 Darren Cole you rock and this meal was out of this world!!

I highly recommend anyone to take a night off and become a chef in your own home - just as good as going out to a high end restaurant!!
