Growth is exciting, but what matters most is having the right people alongside you.

I'm thrilled to welcome Marija Sukara to The Sarah Mason Wealth Advisory Group as our new Client Service Assistant.

Marija brings valuable banking experience, a strong client-first mindset, and exceptional attention to detail. Her role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, privacy, timeliness, and organization behind every client interaction.

While much of her work happens behind the scenes, it has a direct impact on the experience we provide. Exceptional client service is built on trust, consistency, and caring about the little things, and Marija embodies all of those qualities.

As our team continues to grow, I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside talented professionals who share our commitment to serving clients with the highest standards of care.

Welcome to the team, Marija. We're so happy to have you with us!

Exceptional service doesn't happen by accident.

One of the things I'm most proud of is that our team continues to be recognized among the highest-performing teams nationally for client loyalty and satisfaction. Once again, we received top marks in our anonymous client survey.

The reality is that I can't control the markets.

I can't control interest rates.

I can't control the headlines.

What I can control is the experience our clients receive every time they interact with our team.

I am admittedly a bit obsessive when it comes to service. Every email, meeting, phone call, and follow-up matters. To me, delivering an exceptional client experience is a sign of respect and appreciation for the incredible families who trust us with some of life's most important financial decisions.

As our practice continues to grow, it has been driven largely by the referrals of existing clients and professional partners. That trust is something we never take for granted.

To our clients, thank you. We are honoured to work with you.

And if you know someone who deserves an exceptional wealth management experience and values proactive advice, planning, and service, I would be honoured to meet them.

Markets have had a strong run.

As a result, we're hearing more questions from clients:

• Is now the time to take profits?
• Should I be repositioning my portfolio?
• Have markets run too far, too fast?
• Is it still a good time to invest?

These are all reasonable questions.

History reminds us that successful investing isn't about reacting to recent market moves. It's about ensuring your portfolio remains aligned with your goals, your risk tolerance, and your future cash flow needs.

For some investors, that may mean staying the course. For others, it may mean harvesting gains, rebalancing allocations, or setting aside capital for upcoming spending needs.

In our latest Quarterly Market Update, we break down:
✅ Current market valuations
✅ What we're watching going forward
✅ How we're thinking about risk management
✅ Strategies to protect gains while maintaining long-term growth potential

If you've been wondering whether your portfolio is positioned appropriately after this market rally, I'd encourage you to have a look.

A little summer reading by the pool.

I've been working through Radical Candor by Kim Scott, and one message has really resonated with me: the importance of caring personally while being willing to challenge directly.

As a wealth advisor and team leader, my responsibility is to help ensure our clients receive an exceptional experience. That requires open, honest, and timely conversations within our team so we can hold ourselves to the high standards our clients expect and deserve.

It also means having candid conversations with clients about their goals, concerns, family dynamics, and the decisions that shape their financial future.

The reality is that most of us don't love difficult conversations. We hesitate to give honest feedback, challenge assumptions, or tell someone when we see a better path forward. Yet, when I look back on the moments that have created the most growth in my life and career, they almost always started with a clear and honest conversation.

Those conversations aren't always comfortable, but they are often where progress begins.

Highly recommend this book for anyone leading a team, building relationships, or simply looking to communicate more effectively.

Markets faced renewed tariff threats, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, and uncertainty surrounding the U.S. Federal Reserve in July, yet underlying economic and market fundamentals remained resilient.

Brent Joyce, BMO Private Wealth’s Chief Investment Strategist, discusses this and more in the latest BMO Nesbitt Burns Global Markets Commentary, “New and Renewed Feuds.”

The future is bright.

One of the most rewarding parts of my role is working alongside talented people at all stages of their careers.

This summer, we've been fortunate to have Holden Parker and Maeve Prudham join our team through their co-op placements. While they may be early in their professional journeys, they have already made meaningful contributions to our team and our clients.

Holden, who is currently completing his third co-op placement with our team before graduating in Spring 2027, has been leading an important project to align our investment portfolios with our firm's recommended strategies and best ideas. It's a significant undertaking that helps ensure our clients continue to benefit from our highest-conviction investment opportunities. His analytical approach, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence are already creating meaningful value for our clients.

Maeve has been instrumental in helping us organize and strengthen our client information processes, ensuring we have a disciplined approach to delivering the personalized service our clients value. She has also played a key role in our marketing initiatives and rebranding efforts as we prepare for the launch of the Sarah Mason Wealth Advisory Group on August 1st.

What impresses me most isn't just their work ethic—it's their willingness to learn, embrace new challenges, and continuously look for ways to improve.

I was a co-op student myself many years ago, and I still remember how impactful it was when leaders took the time to invest in me. It's a privilege to now have the opportunity to pay that forward and help create experiences that allow young professionals to grow, contribute, and shine.

Thank you, Holden and Maeve, for the enthusiasm, fresh perspectives, and dedication you bring to our team every day. We are proud of what you've accomplished so far and excited to watch your careers continue to unfold.

One of the most important parts of my role is helping clients tune out the noise and stay focused on what matters most.

As part of our Summer 2026 Quarterly Update, we've revisited our market outlook and have increased our year-end targets to 7,850 for the S&P 500 and 36,800 for the TSX. Strong corporate earnings, resilient economic growth, and continued business investment have supported a more constructive outlook than we anticipated earlier in the year.

While no forecast is guaranteed, our team's outlook remains optimistic as we look ahead.

In this quarter's update, we also discuss:

• Market trends and opportunities
• RRSPs and retirement planning considerations
• The questions we're hearing most often from investors today

As I look ahead to launching the next chapter of my practice this summer, I've been reflecting on leadership and the kind of culture I want to build.

One book that has had a meaningful impact on my thinking is The Ride of a Lifetime by Robert Iger.

What stood out wasn't just Disney's success—it was the focus on trust, accountability, empowering talented people, removing obstacles, and having the courage to make difficult decisions when needed.

The strongest teams aren't built through micromanagement. They're built by creating clarity, fostering ownership, and surrounding yourself with people who care deeply about the work they're doing.

As my role continues to evolve as the sole owner and leader of our practice, I'm increasingly realizing that success isn't about doing more yourself—it's about helping great people become even greater.

A worthwhile read for anyone leading a team, building a business, or navigating a period of growth and change.

The first half of 2026 has been a tug-of-war between disruptive shocks and durable underlying trends. Through it, the global economy proved to be resilient, and equity markets continued to move higher.

Some of the best conversations don't happen in an office.

Last night, I had the opportunity to spend time with guests at an incredible sporting event in Toronto. Between the energy of the crowd, the world-class atmosphere, and the chance to simply enjoy time together, it was a reminder that relationships are built through shared experiences.

Thank you to BMO Nesbitt Burns for creating opportunities like these. I'm proud to work for an organization that believes in bringing people together, supporting communities, and creating meaningful experiences.

Grateful for the memories—and for the people I get to share them with.
