2024 was going to be a big year for North Star Financial, including hardware. North Star was nominated for two of this years Business Excellence Awards through Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce. We were up for New Small Business and Entrepreneur of the Year. To our amazement, North Star won Entrepreneur of the Year. That is until last week. After our small business being taken over by IT and due to a private conversation about PTSD reported by Happy Tuesday media, Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce has now rescinded our award and withdrawn us from candidacy. I'm appalled and render pure disgust for their decisions. The WCC is about supporting local small business and diversity, please, someone explain this to me.

I will be at the awards on Thursday, at my cost, supporting other small businesses, with my head held high, and they will hear about this discrimination. I will make sure of it!!!

After nearly 3 months of being open, we finally have hung our office doors..... which is very ironic considering as of December 1st, we are closing our doors to new clients. North Star Financial Consulting & Bookkeeping is no longer taking new clients until March 2023, at a minimum.

Thank-you to all of our amazing clients who have endured the growth and expansion phase along side us. We remain focused on providing the best services possible to our existing clients which means, stopping and taking a breathe while we catch up.

We look forward to seeing everyone in and around the holiday season as we gear up for celebrate and..... *gulp* prepare for tax season.

North Star Financial has extended our workforce and services offered. We are pleased to introduce Brooks, a beautiful little Chorkie and Mia, a sub-contracted Rottie. These wonderful additions provide healing and cuddles on demand.

Mia comes along with our IT Tech while he sets up and fixes our technology - which is alot lately. Our newest staff memeber, Crystal negotiated her contract as an Accounting Tech to include an in house addition. Naturally, I couldnt say no.

Please let us know prior to your appointment if you have allergies or a fear and we are happy to accommodate our clients.

North Star Financial Consulting & Bookkeeping will be closed on Friday, September 29th at 1:00 pm as per our normal operating hours as well as Monday, October 2nd to observe and respect National Truth and Reconciliation Day. We will re-open on Tuesday, October 3rd at 9:00 am (ish).

Happy Grand Re-Opening Day!!!!

From concept to opening day in exactly 7 weeks, our doors officially open at 9:00 am (ish).

This week has tested me in ways I could never imagine. After a couple 20 hour days, a broken wrist, and the loss of my beloved puppy, I am overwhelmed with emotion.

Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This would not have been possible with out our clients, our friends, our families, and our hired contractors?!

Most of all, every single person needs to thank my right hand man and our compliance officer, Tammy Bell. She has kept me grounded, picked me up after I fell in tears, fed and watered me, and encouraged me to keep my dream alive. She is the real strength behind North Star Financial the past few weeks.

It's 430 am, and I am officially going to collapse 💖

Today was one for the books for us very here at North Star Financial Consulting & Bookkeeping!!!

This morning we opened the doors to test the waters with a soft opening. Thank you for those clients who braved the chaos and had appointments today. Things went somewhat smoothly and we are well on the way to seeing the finish line.

We are closed tomorrow but our official Grand Re-opening is still set for Wednesday, Sept 20th at 9:00 am.

Today, we also got our second big marketing display on the Alaska Highway South by Utah yard. It's always been an odd ball dream of mine to have a billboard and this definitely checks the box of a lifetime achievement.

To top today's amazing vibe off - I am celebrating my 15th year as a Financial Planner. On todays date, WAAAAAAY back in 2008, I passed my final exam and began my journey into this amazing career.

It's really incredible to watch hard work, perseverance, a little stubbornness and pig headedness, and a lot of personal growth turn into a dream come true.

Thank for all of the support over the past few weeks, it means the world to have our clients understand this undertaking and be patient.

We are accepting new clients again as of October 20th, 2023 but in the meantime feel free to come down and say HI!!!

North Star Financial Consulting & Bookkeeping has some HUGE NEWS!

The wait is almost over....

The new office will be open for business as of Wednesday, September 20th, 2023.

It is a new beginning for us, and we want you to be a part of it. We will begin accepting new clients and consultations as of Friday, October 20th, 2023.

Thank you for your continued patience as we have embraced this transitional phase.

I am excited to be done with the sweat equity which mainly consisted of directing other people to build furniture and staying out of the way of the contractors.

This would not be possible without Felix Robitaille - Yukon's Real Estate Connection, Bullet Proof Construction, Nailed It Reno's and Construction, Chucks Drywall, my amazing family, and of course our amazing new staff.

Oh, and Elsa and Venom, whom are very excited to have some normalcy again.
