A little note from us! 👋

We’ve had a *very* strange amount of activity lately — fake meeting invites, random meeting links, “legal documents” that apparently need immediate action from people we haven’t even had a proper conversation with yet. 😅

So, moving forward, we’re going to be a little more cautious with unfamiliar inquiries and won’t be jumping into meetings or tending to any “The CRA is coming for my house” situations before having a proper introduction.

We’ll have a conversation first, figure out who we’re talking to and what you need, and go from there.

**This will not change your experience as a regular ACL client.**

Friendly reminder!

Minimum wage in Nova Scotia is now $17 per hour.

The increase took effect today and will help workers keep up with the cost of living.

The adjustment follows the recommendation of the Minimum Wage Review Committee and reflects a phased approach that supports workers while giving employers time to plan and adapt.

At the same time, the Province is helping businesses manage costs by lowering the small business tax rate and increasing the small business tax threshold. Employers can also access programs and services that help them recruit, train and retain workers.

Together, these measures support workers, businesses and a growing economy.

Receipt collection always starts with “just a ‘lil bit”… and somehow ends with an entire truck-console collection!

Digitizing receipts as you go can save SO much stress at month-end! (For everyone involved lol)

Guysssss........ Just because your accountant has access to your online CRA doesn't mean that you shouldn't!

Having online access can be key to a smooth tax season.

CRA has tightened their guidelines and now requires you to have online access, or to provide your tax preparer with your 2024 NOA.. and let's be real, where's my NOA?

You'd be surprised by what can be hiding in that online CRA account!

Tax Season is fresh in all of our minds, before we get too deep into the nice weather, give CRA a call, follow-up on that access code, do what you need to do to gain access to your account!
