I didn't become the Compounding Queen overnight.

Long before I wrote The Psychology of Compounding, I was reading, learning, asking questions, and looking for better ways to understand money and wealth.

These are a few of the books that have influenced the way I think about money.

As a business owner, you know that growth doesn't happen by learning one thing and stopping there. You keep learning because every new idea can change the way you see a problem, make a decision, or create an opportunity.

That has been my journey too.

But eventually, I found myself asking:

"Now that I know these things, how do I actually put them into practice?"

That question became part of the reason I wrote The Psychology of Compounding.

Because knowledge is powerful—but what you consistently do with what you know is where the real compounding begins.

Coffee Thoughts ☕

This morning, I made my coffee and just sat for a while.

No phone. No to-do list. No trying to figure out what I need to do next.

Sometimes, when you are used to building, leading, and taking care of so many things, you can start feeling like every moment has to be productive.

But my friend, remember this: not everything valuable has to produce something immediately.

Sometimes you just need to pause, breathe, and enjoy the moment.

And remember, my friend, small moments matter too. What we do consistently has a way of adding up.

Interest is more than a number on your statement.

It comes down to three things: your money, the rate of return, and time.

But here's where it gets interesting.

With simple interest, you earn based on the original amount.

With compound growth, your earnings can begin earning too.

That is why I often talk about the Rule of 72. It gives you a simple way to understand how long it may take your money to double at a given rate of return.

For me, this is not just about knowing a formula.

It's about knowing whether your money is working for you or against you.

The more you understand how money works, the more intentional you can become with what you do with it.

That's part of the psychology of compounding.

I still can't get over seeing my children so happy at the launch of The Psychology of Compounding.

And when I think about our early years, I get emotional. There were times when we had to leave the children in daycare while my husband and I worked different shifts, sometimes barely seeing each other.

Those years taught me what building wealth is really about.

It's not just about having more money today. It's about building something our children can carry forward.

That is what I mean by wealth that outlasts you.

My dream is to also teach my children the same principles I share in The Psychology of Compounding—so they can build on what we've started and, one day, pass it on to the next generation.

That's the dream.
