A big thank you to Marcel Saulnier for sharing his time, talent, and expertise with us at today's Layered Linocut Printmaking Workshop!
Participants had the opportunity to learn the fascinating process of creating multi-layered prints, from transferring designs and carving linoleum blocks to building colourful finished pieces. Marcel's patience, skill, and encouragement made for an enjoyable and inspiring afternoon.
We're grateful to Marcel for helping our community explore a new artistic medium and for generously sharing his knowledge with both new and experienced artists alike.

🎨 Discover the Art of Layered Linocut Printmaking with Marcel Saulnier! 🎨

Have you ever wanted to create your own hand-printed artwork? Join local artist Marcel Saulnier for an introduction to Layered Linocut Printmaking, where you'll learn the basics of this fascinating printmaking technique in a fun and supportive environment.
Participants will learn how to: ✔️ Transfer a design to a linoleum block
✔️ Carve the block safely and effectively
✔️ Print separate layers to create colourful, multi-layered prints
All materials and step-by-step instruction will be provided. A sample project will be available, but if you have a simple design of your own you'd like to use, as long as it is simple, feel free to bring it along!

All materials and step-by-step instruction are included. A sample project will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own simple design if they prefer. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those looking to expand their printmaking skills.
