A snapped pole doesn't have to be the end of the tent 🏕️

Most gear that lands in our workshop in Görlitz comes with a story. A gust at the wrong moment, a pitch that went sideways, a summer that asked a bit much. It gets fixed by hand and sent back out for the next one.

The best part of the day usually comes right before you should head back 🌙
Golden grass on the way up, the ridge catching the low light, and then that moment the warmth leaves the air and the jacket gets zipped all the way up.

The clocks go back on Sunday. More night, more sky ✨

This autumn, Max took the long way through the highlands of Kyrgyzstan, spending the nights wherever the tent happened to fit.

Mornings started with a hot mug and cold fingers. Evenings ended with a headlamp, a glowing tent and a sky that made it very hard to go to bed.

So when it starts getting dark before dinner up here, we try to remember that the night isn’t the end of the day outside. It’s just a different part of it.

Autumn never settles on just one colour ✨

Some mornings it’s wet grass under a washed-out blue sky. Then the mist lifts, and the low sun turns the whole forest rust. By afternoon the clouds have gone soft and sandy, and by the time you reach the coast, it’s all slate grey and black sand.

This is what hygge looks like at the foot of Fuji 🗻

joined us for Hygge with Nordisk in Japan. A whole field of tents with Danish and Japanese flags side by side, and new friends around every corner.

The rest took care of itself. Little ones running across the grass, a campfire that kept everyone outside long after dark, and a morning where the sun rose right over the summit ✨

Every autumn there's a moment when the hood goes up for the first time 🍂

Wind off the water, softer light, and that small decision to stay out a little longer. Grey days have their own kind of quiet. You just have to be dressed for it.

Step a little closer 🔥

Every step closer, nature gives a little more. The landscape, the details, and that first light through the tent door.

The nights are colder now, but that's no reason to keep your distance. Pack the warmer sleeping bag, a down jacket and get close enough to feel it.

Seventeen years ago, we made a jacket light enough to forget you'd packed it 🪶

That first Companyon had one job: to always come along. Rolled into the bottom of a backpack, stuffed in the bike bag, hanging on the hook by the cabin door.

It's grown up a bit since. There are five of them now, each with an old Nordic name and its own idea of how much warmth you need. Asta and Harald keep your core warm and your arms free. Thyra and Hjalte are the ones you zip up to the chin on a cold morning. And Dagmar goes all the way down, for the days when the wind just won't give up.

You earn a table like this 👟

Kilometres in the legs, bread on the board and tarps overhead in case the weather changed its mind. It didn’t, but that was never really the point. The point was staying outside long after the plates were cleared.

The colours were already out there. 🍂 We just gave them a zipper.

The Companyon collection comes in four of them: Tibetan Red, Black Coffee, Blue Mirage and Black. Each one pulled from something you'd recognise the second you stepped outside.

Back out there, somewhere worth being.
