📈 Stock Take - US companies are delivering one of the strongest earnings seasons since the post-pandemic bounce in 2021. Multiple sectors are delivering high (20%+) double-digit profit growth compared with 2025.
💷 Wealth Check - Last week, new prime minister Andy Burnham hinted at tax rises in the autumn to fund social care reform. He specifically pointed to the unfairness of the current system, which can strip vulnerable people of their assets, including their homes, to pay for care.

📈 Stock Take - New prime minister, same old struggles. Andy Burnham topped the British political landscape last week, becoming the country’s seventh prime minister in ten years.
💷 Wealth Check - Andy Burnham’s first few days as UK prime minister began with a series of announcements aimed at reducing the cost of living. These included pledging to exempt those whose only income is the state pension from income tax, a forthcoming cut to VAT on energy bills and introducing a £2 cap on bus fares.
📷 In The Picture - The number of people above state pension age who pay income tax is set to rise by more than half between 2019/20 and 2026/27.

✒️Mid-month, the US and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the aim of reaching a comprehensive settlement within two months. The oil price eased to pre-war levels and inflationary concerns faded, reducing expectations of further rate hikes.
🌍Led by the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, global markets delivered a volatile performance during the period, as investors weighed up the high AI capex plans against weak earnings visibility and high valuations.
💰SpaceX’s initial public offering on 12 June was one for the record books. Offered at $135 per share, the price rose to $165 on the first day of trading. It became the first new listing to reach a market value above $1 trillion on the first day of trading.

WFM Team conquers the Cotswolds Way Trek for The Charitable Foundation 🗺️🏔️

Last Saturday, the WFM team were ready for 6:30am ⏰ and joined forces with other staff and Partners from across St. James's' Place to tackle the Cotswolds Way Trek 🥾.

Tach, Carrie and Veronica pushed hard to complete a staggering 14.5 miles with nearly 3000 ft of elevation in the 5-peak challenge 🏔️💪.

Richard kept the momentum going to finish the 10-peak challenge as part of our fundraising mission 🥇.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we smashed our target by 32%, raising £2060 for The Charitable Foundation 💷✨, which supports disadvantaged children and young adults in the UK and abroad 🌍. This will be matched by SJP meaning the charity will receive £4120!!

The wider SJP team has raised over £12.5k to date and is still climbing 📈👏.

A fantastic day at Alderley Edge Cricket Club for the Sporting Lunch 2026 last Thursday! 🌞🏏

We enjoyed a garden party made better by the lovely weather, a charity auction, and a delicious 3-course meal and drinks. 🍷🍺We were truly inspired by sporting legends Sir Geoff Hurst, David Lloyd, and Paul Allott who shared their insights and stories.
