💜 Franchisee Spotlight: Emma –
Kalma Life Gateshead & North Durham 💜
From day one, Emma has poured her heart into creating something truly special, a space where families feel supported, children can flourish, and wellbeing sits at the very core of everything she does.
Over the past 8 years, Emma has touched the lives of countless babies, toddlers, children, and families across her community through her beautiful work:
✨ Kalma Massage, Baby & Toddler Yoga – bringing calm, connection, and so much joy into homes, creating moments of peace and togetherness that families truly treasure.
✨ Kalma Minds – reaching young people in schools, community projects, and through the hugely successful HAF programme, supporting children’s mental health and wellbeing in such a meaningful way.
✨ Partnerships with local organisations – including Gateshead School Sports Partnership, Durham CLS SSP, and her ongoing collaboration with Children’s Cancer North, delivering yoga and mindfulness at the Great North Children’s Hospital. Now successfully into its second year, this partnership continues to grow, with plans to extend and reach even more children and families across the hospital.
💜 Emma’s partnership with Gateshead Family Hubs is a beautiful part of her work, bringing nurturing sessions to parents, babies, and toddlers. These sessions create a warm, supportive space where families can connect, learn, and grow together, strengthening bonds and supporting wellbeing from the very earliest stages.
💜 Emma also works in beautiful partnership with Tiny Lives, offering baby massage, baby yoga, and toddler yoga to families whose journeys began prematurely and who have spent time on the neonatal unit. These classes are incredibly special, offering gentle, nurturing support and a safe, comforting space for families navigating such an emotional and unique experience.
Alongside her amazing partners in yoga, Steph and Beth, Emma has built a true legacy of love, care, and impact within her community. And this year, her branch has continued to grow with the wonderful additions of Emma and Hayley, helping her reach and support even more families. 💜
Emma’s passion doesn’t stop there. She is a huge part of the wider Kalma Life family, offering support within franchising, generously sharing her knowledge, experience, and guidance to help others grow. A true team player, and someone who is deeply valued and respected by all who work alongside her.
