One thing that was announced in yesterday’s budget was further tax increases for landlords.
Small landlords have really been hit hard over the last few years and I think theres a chance these latest tax increases will lead to more landlords exiting the market, seeking a better return on their investment elsewhere.

Whilst this may lead to more properties coming to market, hopefully allowing more local people to buy and enter home ownership, there will always be a need for rental properties 🏠

With a lack of public sector housing and available rental properties already few and far between in North Devon I’m not sure what the future holds for this market.

If more landlords decide to sell up the available rental stock will diminish further, meaning demand will outweigh supply even greater than it already does and those landlords left can essentially charge what they want and people will have no choice 😔
