Why can't my accountant give me pensions advice? π€·ββοΈ How frustrating is it that your trusted accountant can't deal with all your money issues, especially pensions and investments? Sadly, accountants are just not qualified to do this. π¬
On the flipside your Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) can't help you with tax planning either. π
Often you can feel like a ping-pong ball going between the two of us. π
At HJP we hate this ping-pong game too. π It delays decisions and makes planning more difficult than it needs to be.
Our solution? Easy! π Get us and your IFA in the same room. That way you can ask all your questions and get all your answers in one session. π It may not be the most exciting meeting you will ever have, but it will be efficient. π
If either your accountant or your IFA resists this collaborative approach, then look for new advisors, ones who will play nicely together and have your best interests at heart.
This sharing knowledge approach is one of HJP's key values; we are always open, honest and ready to listen. π€
We make things personal. π€ By seeing everyone as an individual, we find new and better ways of working to better understand our clients and do better business.
