Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator Vacancy:
Job Description:
We are a small, friendly and growing accountancy practice based in Oxfordshire, supporting a wide range of owner-managed businesses. We pride ourselves on building strong client relationships and creating a supportive, relaxed working environment.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll work with multiple clients and take ownership of your work.
Key responsibilities:
Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Processing weekly/monthly payrolls
CIS returns (desirable)
Bank reconciliations and general accounts support
Liaising directly with clients and handling queries
Essential:
Proven bookkeeping experience (ideally within a practice)
Payroll experience
Strong knowledge of Xero (or similar cloud software)
Experience with Brightpay and Moneysoft
Good understanding of VAT
Desirable:
Experience with multiple clients
CIS knowledge
Previous accountancy practice experience
