My name is Nicola Blong and I am an experienced bookkeeper and year end accountant with over 11 years experience working in accountancy practices. When I first got a job as a trainee accountant I studied AAT alongside working and after achieving level 4, went on to study with ACCA and achieved an Advanced Diploma in Business and Accounting. Whilst I am extremely proud of my qualifications I believe work experience is just as valuable, if not more, and feel like I have gained extensive experience in the roles I have had since deciding to become a bookkeeper/accountant. I have dealt with a vast array of businesses over the years run by sole traders, partnerships and limited companies including cafes, shops, surf instructors, consultancies, architectural visualisation providers, farms, builders, well-being coaches, personal trainers, hairdressers, campsites, charities, driving instructors, dentists, landscape gardeners.....the list goes on and on! I have left an extremely busy role as an accountant/senior bookkeeper to start by own bookkeeping business which has always been a dream of mine. I am passionate about helping businesses thrive by taking the worry of record keeping/bookkeeping off their hands and by providing them with monthly management reports so they can understand exactly how their business is progressing, month by month. This is SO important in order for businesses to make sound financial decisions at every step! I believe every client should be valued and have their needs met and I think this can be lost within bigger practices. I provide the personal touch, deliver on my promises and am not embarrassed to admit... I LOVE BOOKKEEPING!
