We’re recruiting…..Payroll
Ark Aurora are a firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers based in Bearwood, Birmingham.
We help businesses locally, nationally and internationally with their tax and accounting needs:
• providing tax and estate planning advice;
• assisting with their tax compliance responsibilities including VAT, business and personal tax returns;
• providing full payroll and auto-enrolment support;
• providing regular management accounts, budgets and forecasts;
• helping to meet all Companies House filing requirements
We are actively seeking to recruit into our fast-moving and dynamic payroll team
The ideal candidate will:
• have a can do attitude
• be able to work in a team environment
• have excellent communication and client service skills
• be able to work with a wider team of stakeholders
• have some experience working in the finance sector, preferably in payroll, but full on the job training can be provided
• have experience of Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and, ideally, SAGE payroll
• have excellent numerical skills
• need to ensure that all work is undertaken to a very high level of accuracy within tight and pressurised timescales
Salary is dependent on experience but is competitive.

Our 28 strong team help business owners locally, nationally, and internationally with their accounting, tax planning and compliance requirements:
• helping clients prepare in year and year end accounts
• assisting with their tax compliance responsibilities including VAT, business and personal tax returns
• providing full payroll and auto-enrolment support
• providing regular management accounts, budgets and forecasts
• helping to meet all Companies House and HMRC filing requirements
• estate planning and inheritance tax advise
• business and tax planning
Due to the continued growth of the firm, we are seeking to expand our book-keeping team.
The role will involve:
• organising client accounting records
• scanning documents in to accounting software
• data entry in to excel and accounting software
• exporting/importing data
• working with a team of qualified and part qualified Chartered Accountants assisting in the preparation of VAT returns and year end accounts
• working on various accounting software packages and submitting small business VAT returns to HMRC
• general administrative duties such as letter writing, preparing references etc.
The ideal candidates will:
• have a mature, friendly and a “can do/able to learn” attitude
• have experience of Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• ideally have some experience of using accounting packages such as Xero, Kashflow and SAGE, and
• have an understanding of the VAT legislation e.g., retail schemes, cash accounting etc.
On the job training can be provided to those candidates that show real potential to fit in to this fun, family, and professional environment!
Salary is dependent on experience but is competitive.

Connect collects data from numerous sources, including offshore taxpayer’s information, under the Common Reporting Standard. HMRC then cross-reference this against tax returns and other sources to flag up individuals and business for investigation.
