🐀 We’re delighted to introduce Imeldo, one of APOPO’s newest HeroRATs, and the latest addition to the Berry & Oak family of supported projects. 🐀

Trained in Tanzania and now working in Cambodia, Imeldo is already making a remarkable impact. Since beginning operations in December 2025, he has searched more than 18,000 square metres of land, helping to locate landmines and clear dangerous areas. Working as part of a specialist team in Preah Vihear Province, a region heavily affected by past conflict. Imeldo is helping make land safe again for farming, housing, and rebuilding communities.

It’s incredible work, and we’re proud to support it.

💰Managing your pension doesn’t stop once you retire and start to draw an income from it. In fact, your pension still needs careful attention in retirement – just as much as when you were contributing – to ensure you don’t deplete it too quickly.

One of the biggest challenges with early retirement is something many people overlook: The “gap”.

The period between when you stop working and when your pension and later your State Pension becomes available. Our guide highlights the importance of planning for this gap early, including:
✔️ How long it may last
✔️ How much income you’ll need
✔️ Which assets you can draw on first

For example, pensions are typically not accessible until at least age 55 (rising to 57), meaning careful planning is essential if you want to retire sooner. With the right strategy in place, this doesn’t have to be a barrier it’s simply part of the plan.

If early retirement is something you’re considering, we’re here to help you approach it with clarity and confidence.
