I didn’t choose accounting because it sounded exciting.
I chose it because it made sense.
Early on, I noticed something: most problems in business aren’t loud.
They’re quiet.
They hide in numbers, timing, and small decisions repeated every day.
Accounting taught me how to see those problems before they turn into disasters.
Cash flow tells a story. Margins tell the truth.
The books never lie, even when people do.
Over time, it stopped being just about debits and credits. It became about trust.
About helping owners sleep at night because they actually know where they stand.
My opinion? Accounting isn’t a back-office function.
It’s a decision-making tool, and good accountants don’t just record history—they shape the future.
It’s not glamorous. But it’s valuable. And value compounds.
Why did you choose your career?
