Meet Michael 👋

Continuing our Meet the Team series, we'd like to introduce Michael, one of our Senior Finance Assistants.

Michael has been part of the team for a number of years and has grown alongside the business, becoming a trusted and knowledgeable member of our finance team.

He supports clients across a wide range of finance functions and is currently studying towards his CIMA qualification, continuing to develop his skills and expertise as he progresses in his career.

Anyone who has worked with Michael knows he's dependable, hardworking and always willing to help out wherever needed.

But here's something you might not know about him...

When Michael was 10 years old, he managed to break bones after an encounter with a celebrity. 🤕

Most people collect autographs.
Michael collected a hospital visit.

We're still not entirely sure how many people can genuinely say they were temporarily injured by a celebrity, but we'd imagine it's a fairly exclusive club.

Thankfully, his recovery was successful and he went on to make much better life choices.

These days, Michael spends his time studying for CIMA rather than colliding with famous people.

One of the things we value most about Michael is his commitment to continuous improvement. Balancing client work alongside professional studies isn't easy, but he consistently puts the effort in to develop himself and deliver great results for our clients.

His willingness to learn and grow is a big part of why he's become such an important member of the team.

We're incredibly lucky to have him with us.

Next up in our Meet the Team series is Bethan!

As our Assistant Practice Manager, Bethan works closely with Ryan and Ben (the Directors), helping support the team, our clients and the day to day running of the business.

It's a role that doesn't always sit neatly in a box. One minute she might be helping a client, the next she's supporting a team member, coordinating a project or helping the directors keep on top of a growing list of priorities.

In many ways, she's become second in command.

Since joining the business, Bethan has quickly become someone we all rely on. She's organised, approachable, calm under pressure and always willing to get stuck in wherever she's needed.

As we've grown, having people like Bethan around us has become increasingly important. The reality is that a growing business needs people who can take ownership, solve problems and help keep everything moving forward.

Now for the fun fact...

🏊‍♀️ Before joining the world of finance and practice management, Bethan was a competitive swimmer and also worked as a lifeguard.

Which means she's spent years helping people stay afloat.

These days she's swapped swimming pools for spreadsheets, client queries and directors' diaries, but the ability to stay calm under pressure has definitely carried across.

We're delighted to have Bethan as part of the team and excited to see her continue growing with us.

Meet Aaron 👋

Continuing our Meet the Team series, we'd like to introduce Aaron, one of our Accounts & Tax Semi-Seniors.

Aaron works across a wide range of accounts and tax assignments, supporting clients with everything from bookkeeping and management accounts through to year end accounts and tax compliance.

Since joining the team, he's built a reputation for being reliable, hardworking and someone who can always be counted on to get the job done. He's a great example of the talented people coming through the profession and developing their careers with us.

But here's something you might not know about him...

When Aaron was 13 years old, he competed in the National BMX Championships. 🚴

Not many people can say they've competed at a national level in any sport, especially before they were even old enough to sit a GCSE exam.

Sadly, his BMX career didn't quite lead to Olympic glory, and he retired shortly afterwards.

But if you've ever worked with Aaron, you'll know that competitive streak is still very much there.

Whether it's solving problems, learning new skills or helping clients, he brings the same determination and focus to his work that probably served him well flying around BMX tracks as a teenager.

One of the things we value most about Aaron is his consistency. He's the sort of team member who quietly gets on with things, supports those around him and always delivers a high standard of work.

We're delighted to have him as part of the team.
