UK mortgage fixed rates are seeing an upward shift in March 2026! ⬆️

This is largely driven by rising “swap rates”- the costs lenders pay to fund fixed-rate deals-which have jumped due to global economic uncertainty and energy price concerns linked to the conflict in the Middle East.

Benefits of securing a rate now…

1️⃣ Remortgages, most lenders allow you to secure a mortgage offer up to six months in advance
2️⃣ If rates continue to climb before you complete on your purchase or remortgage, your lower rate is already guaranteed
3️⃣ If market rates actually fall before you complete, we are allowed to switch to a cheaper product before the deal starts
4️⃣ Fixing your rate provides peace of mind by making monthly repayments predictable
