So pleased to have raised £2,041 for Menfulness on our first Charity Golf Day ⛳️

When we had our first team meeting, I said I have 3 things I want us to achieve:

- Be the best Charity Golf Day in York
- Raise £2,000 for Charity
- Have a DJ on the course and make it more than just a golf day

No idea if we achieved being the best golf day in York but it was certainly a good one and I do believe in aiming for the Moon and if you miss you’ll fall among the stars ✨

Thanks again to absoutley everyone who was a part of it in anyway!

We’ve had some days at The Accounting Room, but yesterday was the one! ☀️🙌

From start to finish, we have all absolutely loved it and the feedback we’ve been receiving has been out of this world, way more than we could ever have imagined.

All I can really say is, Thank you! 🙏

A day I will genuinely remember forever and for an amazing local cause Menfulness

Final pieces coming together for our inaugural Charity Golf Day in aid of Menfulness at Sandburn Hall Golf Club! ⛳️

We’ll be hosting over 100 people, have a HUGE prize pool and so much planned for the day…. Including a DJ on hole 6 (if you haven’t heard) 🎧

It’s been amazing to see the team come together, take responsibility for different areas and have a buzz around the office as the weather forecast shows bright sun, low winds and 28c ☀️🤞

Looking forward to welcoming everyone on the day and also sharing our highlight reel with you shortly after! 📹

Should any of of clients and contacts want to come down for a drink after, we’ll be finishing the golf about 4pm and be at Sandburn until about 6pm before heading into Haxby for the pub crawl! 🍻

There’s a lot of noise at the moment about the doom and gloom of the upcoming Companies House change that will mean small and micro businesses will need to file their profit and loss when submitting their accounts from 1 April 2028!

Here’s the BIG point:

- You still will NOT need to SHOW your profit and loss online!

You simply need to FILE it - so that Companies House, HMRC & Law enforcement can access it more easily should they need to.

Takeaway - not a massive issue, 99.91% of people will see this as nothing really changing.

Hope this settles a few nerves and we can continue with the week.

5 Accountants attend a Hyrox Event…. 🏋️‍♂️

Well, 1 mortgage advisor in there, Tom Metcalfe of ThreeTwo Financial

What was achieved :

- 5 hour drive each way playing football 501 for long periods
- Competed in Wales national stadium (highlight being the start line in the players tunnel)
- First Hyrox completed successfully (5 mins worse than targeted)
- Lost 2 stone in 3 months
- Got back running after 2 years and improved on first 5k run of 30 mins to a 21 min just before the event
