😕 I get SOOOO anxious 😕

😟 Like, ridiculously anxious when someone says, "I can't charge more because no one will buy from me."

😟 Wildly anxious when I see someone pricing their product or service just a hair above what it actually costs them to make.

😟 And don’t get me started on the nerves when I realise they’re working for the equivalent of an apprentice's minimum hourly wage (£6.40 per hour, by the way).

If it’s not obvious by now, I’m a seriously anxious person—I just mask it well. 😅

✅ You know that getting your pricing right is essential.

But what’s the next step? 🤯

Every business is unique, and what works for one won’t necessarily work for another—even if they’re selling something similar.

BUT

There are some key pricing principles that any business can apply:

💥 Work out the true effort involved in delivering your product or service. Think beyond just the basics: the prep time, responding to client emails, and those sneaky overheads like heating, lighting, and—most importantly—the cost of your expertise.

💥 Take a good look at your price point. Are you factoring in what your competitors charge? Are you covering both business and personal expenses? Are you giving your clients real value and even saving them money?

💥 Consider your workload goals. Why did you start your business? Does your pricing help you reach that vision? If not, time for a rethink.

With recent increases in the national minimum wage and employer’s national insurance, profit margins can get tight, and cash flow might feel the squeeze. Now is the time to make sure your pricing has a healthy margin to keep things running smoothly.

Maybe, like me, you’re absolutely obsessed with coffee. 😍

Ever head over to your bank and get the shock of your life? 😰

Ooooh you go in thinking you've got unlimited moola only to find that your balance is very. much. limited. 😭

You're not alone; I've been there.

Are you doomed to that life forever?

No boo. I got you. And I can't preach this enough.

Let's talk about The Money Minute.

It does what it says on the tin.

Taking a money minute is taking just 60 seconds out of your day and doing a financial health check.

This means looking through your bank account for the last 24 hours to check for any surprises:

🌟 that old gym subscription you haven’t used for 2 years
🌟 that direct debit you have also been paying manually
🌟 small expenses you don't recognise
🌟 payments taken twice by suppliers

What good will it do?

When you know, you can track patterns, make changes and keep more of your money. 💴

And if you don't think doing it this way will help you keep your bank balance healthy, I dare you to prove me wrong.

So I challenge you: Sixty seconds a day for the next 7 days.

It's tried and it's tested and it works.

I know it can feel like a lot to start, but by day 7 you won't be able to stop. And I am here if you need extra support 💪

😡 I took this one personally…

Not one to rant in this space but I do need to take a moment to clarify that the service we offer is not unnecessary.

There’s a hell of a lot involved in what we do; 90% goes unseen by clients, which is a good thing.

But it doesn’t mean it’s not done. Because it’s done and done thoroughly.

Today was the icing on the proverbial cake for me.

There are many things bookkeeping is not but…

⚡️you want accurate tax filings? That’s why it’s there.
⚡️You want to see how far your business has come and where it’s tripping up? That’s why it’s there.
⚡️You want to save as much money as possible and get paid as quickly as possible? THAT IS WHY IT’S THERE.

And it’s not just admin, because admin is not “just” admin. It’s its own whole damn thing which takes a different level of expertise.

Please never degrade someone’s service by thinking it’s “just something”. Never. If there is a service out there for something, it’s there because there is a demand.

This one is for you INCREDIBLE business owners who are doing so flipping amazing in your space. You’re worth your weight in PLATINUM darling. Never forget it. 🙌🏽🎉👌🏽😍
