⚠️ Employers — this Sunday 31 May is your P60 deadline.

Every employee on your payroll must receive their P60 for the 2025/26 tax year by this Sunday.

And if you're a limited company director taking a salary — that includes you too. You need to issue yourself a P60, which is something easily overlooked when you're wearing every hat in the business.

This year there's an added layer to be aware of as well — HMRC is moving towards mandatory payrolling of benefits, meaning the way you report employee perks is changing. If you're still doing things the old way, now is a good time to check where you stand.

From April 2026, sole traders above that threshold are required to keep digital records and submit quarterly updates to HMRC instead of one annual tax return.

The first quarterly update for 2026/27 is due on 7 August 2026 — just 10 weeks away.
