STAGE THREE 🚴🏻‍♂️
Another early start saw Richard and his fellow cyclists with 102 kilometres between them and the finish line at Ghent!

From Brugge they continued south towards Oudenaarde before the most feared climb in the region, the famous Koppenberg, and swiftly onto the Taaienberg! After these two challenges they headed North to complete their cycle in Ghent, where a deserving beer… or two 😉 and delicious ‘Brussels Waffle’ were in order!

🚴🏻‍♂️ The SJP Charity Tour 🚴🏻‍♂️

STAGE TWO 🚴🏻‍♂️
An early start after a good breakfast saw Richard and his SJP colleagues head off along the coast heading north east and on to Kemmel and the famous Kemmelberg climb, before reaching their final stop on day 2 at Central Brugge via Ypres.

💷 Richard is aiming to raise £1,500 for the SJP Foundation, where funds are used to support charities working with children who are disadvantaged physically, socially, or economically, and hospices, mental health charities and cancer support charities throughout the UK including West Wales. For every pound he raises, RJ FINANCIAL PLANNING will match up to a total of £1,500 which will be split between two local charities, these being Cardigan Cancer Care and Paul Sartori Foundation.

🚴🏻‍♂️ STAGE ONE 🚴🏻‍♂️
The SJP Charity Tour starts today, and Richard has already set off from Greenwich Royal Park London where he and other SJP cyclists will head south-east out of London and into the quiet rolling countryside, and onto a ferry crossing to arrive at Dunkirk for today’s final destination.

Good luck and a huge thank you to Richard Jones as he takes on an incredible cycling challenge TOMORROW!🚴‍♂️💙

Richard will be riding 380km over three days, starting from Greenwich Park in London tomorrow, the 2nd of July to Ghent in Belgium as part of the SJP Via Roma G2G Charity Tour. With long days in the saddle, tough climbs and iconic routes along the way, this is no small feat.

Even more amazing, for every pound Richard raises, RJ Financial Planning will match it up to £1,500, with funds being split between two fantastic local charities, The Paul Sartori Foundation and Cardigan Cancer Care.

Can I gift assets to avoid paying care home fees?

- Finding the money to pay for care home fees can be one of the biggest financial worries facing us in later life.

- Your local authority may help fund your social care – but if they believe you’ve given assets away deliberately to avoid paying the cost of care fees, they can treat those assets as if you still owned them.

💷 New 22% charge on cash in investment ISAs

👀 At a glance
- A flat rate 22% charge will apply on the interest on cash held in investment ISAs.

- Money market funds held in an ISA won’t be classified as cash, and won’t be liable to the 22% charge, provided they don’t make up 100% of the ISA.

- A simpler first-time buyer ISA will be launched to replace the lifetime ISA. It will pay a government bonus, but there will be no exit penalties.
