2023: My cholesterol hit 7.7
2024: It's 6.6, and I’m still medication-free.
Let me explain.
Three months ago, my doctor said:
“Improve your diet and lifestyle, or start meds.”
I chose the challenge.
Here’s what I did:
Gym: 6 hours every week.
Tennis: 2 hours weekly.
No full-fat milk in morning tea.
I didn’t give up everything I love:
Takeaways? Still on the menu.
Biryani, seafood, and red meat? Yes, please.
But I ate more consciously.
I found balance without depriving myself.
The results?
Cholesterol dropped from 7.7 to 6.6.
Lost 5kg in three months.
My doctor was impressed and gave me six more months before reconsidering meds.
Here’s what this journey taught me:
Progress doesn’t need perfection.
Small, consistent changes matter.
If you really want something, you’ll find a way.
