What is taxable turnover for VAT?

You must register if either:
* Your total taxable turnover for the last 12 months goes over £90,000 (the VAT threshold).
* You expect your taxable turnover to go over £90,000 on the next 30 days.

You must also register (regardless of taxable turnover) if all of the following are true:
* You’re based outside of the UK.
* You supply any goods or services to the UK (or expect to in the next 30 days).

The deadline for submitting P11D and P11D(b) forms to HMRC for the 2025/26 tax year is 6th July 2026. Employers must also provide copies to employees by this date. Class 1A National Insurance contributions must be paid by 19th July 2026 (or 22nd July if paying electronically.
