On Friday we had our annual charity golf day 🏌️

For another year the sun was shining, and some of us may have had a few too many drinks!🍻 ☀️

We had an incredible day, all whilst raising money for a local charity. We don’t have the exact figure but it looks like we raised over £1000 for our chosen charity Pact Sheffield.

Huge thanks to everyone that participated in this event, to Halewood team that planned and organised the event and to Hallowes for hosting us for the second year running.

Our annual charity golf day this year will be in aid of PACT Sheffield

PACT offers emotional, social, and practical support to families in South Yorkshire who have children and young individuals battling cancer, aiming to enhance their quality of life.

The new tax year started yesterday. 📅 Most people won't do these 3 things. It'll cost them.

1. Use your new ISA allowance. £20,000 reset on Monday. You can't carry it over. Savings sitting in a regular account = free money to HMRC. 💸

2. Check your tax code. HMRC gets it wrong more often than people realise. 5 minutes on gov.uk could save you a year of paying the wrong tax. 👀

3. Directors and employers — review how you're paying yourself and your team. Salary, dividends, Employment Allowance — there are changes worth knowing about. Start of the tax year is when you plan it, not the end. Speak to your accountant before you draw anything significant.

Save this post. You'll thank yourself next March. 💰

💙 Community really does make a difference

We’re proud to share that we, together with our local community, has raised £1,600 for Ashgate Hospice through our free wills initiative.

A massive thank you to Laura, who put so much time and care into making this happen – we couldn’t have done it without you ⭐

Thanks to the support of people in our community, Ashgate Hospice now has enough funding to keep two beds open for at least 12 months — an incredible achievement that will help local families when they need it most.

💻📊 Making Tax Digital (MTD) – It’s Happening!

HMRC is going digital – and if you run a business or are self-employed, this affects you!

Here’s what you need to know (no boring tax talk, promise):

✅ If you’re VAT-registered or earn over £50k, you now need to:

Keep digital records

Use MTD-approved software (e.g Xero/Dext)

Send your tax info to HMRC every 3 months (not just once a year!)

🧾 No more paper piles or last-minute panic.
MTD helps you stay organised and avoid surprises at tax time.
