Bank rec, not bank wreck. 💷
A bank reconciliation might not be the most exciting job on your to-do list, but it could be one of the most important!
Keeping your business bank account reconciled regularly helps you stay in control of your finances and spot potential problems before they become bigger headaches.
Why is it so important?
✔️ Know your numbers – Make sure your accounting records agree with your actual bank balance.
✔️ Spot mistakes early – Identify missing transactions, duplicate entries or unexpected payments before they cause confusion.
✔️ Keep cash flow in check – Understand what money is coming in and going out, so you can plan ahead with confidence.
✔️ Stay tax-ready – Accurate records make preparing your accounts and tax returns much smoother.

Yesterday saw the first major change of how we file our tax returns since 1996. - delighted with how the team handled the change. With Making tax digital finally launched. This marked the result of years of hard work preparing for this day. Transitioning business owners to digital record keeping, asking for businesses to make an extra investment of time and money into this function of the business in the current economic climate was never going to be easy. Can’t thank the team enough for what they achieved, Well deserved weekend.
