At Franklyn, we’re passionate about supporting the communities around us. Alongside helping our clients achieve their financial goals, we’re proud to connect local charities with funding opportunities that can make a real difference.

Recently, we were delighted to support Circus Starr, a Congleton-based charity, with an application to the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation. We’re pleased to share that their application was successful, resulting in a £1,000 grant to support the charity’s incredible work.

Two Nurses. One Year. One Incredible Community.

At this year's Summer Swing, we were privileged to welcome Lisa and Gemma, two incredible nurses from The Dougie Mac Hospice, who shared what hospice care really means to the patients and families they support every day.

Rather than asking our guests to contribute to a general appeal, we set ourselves a simple but powerful goal.

A newly qualified hospice nurse costs around £30,000 a year to fund. We asked our guests to pledge £500, and thanks to the extraordinary generosity of St. James's Place, every donation made on the night was matched pound for pound.

The response was nothing short of incredible.

Together, our guests pledged enough to fund not one, but two hospice nurses for an entire year, meaning £60,000 will be donated to Dougie Mac Hospice.

To everyone who stood up, pledged, donated and supported this appeal – thank you. Your generosity will help Dougie Mac continue to provide outstanding care, compassion and support to people and families when they need it most.

This is exactly what can be achieved when a room full of people comes together with a shared purpose. 💛

A heartfelt thank you to our headline sponsor, St. James's Place Wealth Management, for their incredible support of our Summer Swing, Moonwalk Masters earlier this month.

Not only were St. James's Place our headline sponsor but we are absolutely delighted that they matched every pound raised on the night. Every raffle ticket purchased, every balloon sold, every pledge made and every auction bid placed was matched pound for pound.

This remarkable commitment significantly increased the impact of the evening, enabling even more support for The St. James's Place Charitable Foundation and our pledge charity, The Dougie Mac Hospice.

On behalf of everyone at Franklyn, thank you to St. James's Place for your generosity, continued partnership and commitment to making a real difference in our communities.

Following our Summer Swing, Moonwalk Masters at The Belfry last Friday, we're delighted to announce that we raised an amazing £200,000!

This incredible total would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, guests, golfers, auction prize donors, and everyone who pledged their support throughout the day. Thank you for helping make this event such a success.

The event was held in support of The St. James's Place Charitable Foundation, with a dedicated part of the evening shining a spotlight on The Dougie Mac Hospice. Following the heartwarming stories shared by Gareth Higgins, Lisa and Gemma, we're proud that a significant amount of the total raised from the evening will be redirected to Dougie Mac to help them continue providing outstanding care and support to local patients and their families.

Thank you once again to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored and supported the Summer Swing, Moonwalk Masters. Your kindness and generosity will make a real and lasting difference.
