📢 Ireland’s R&D Corporation Tax Credit is increasing from 30% to 35%.

The new rate will generally apply to accounting periods ending on or after 31 December 2026, increasing the value of the credit available on qualifying R&D expenditure.

For companies carrying out R&D in Ireland, it’s a good time to review the work taking place across the business and make sure qualifying activity and expenditure aren’t being missed.

A robust claim starts with properly understanding the work behind it. That means identifying the qualifying activity and expenditure, and clearly explaining the scientific or technological advance, the uncertainties involved and how they were addressed.

Our tax, finance and technical specialists work closely with clients to understand their projects and make sure each claim is properly supported from the outset.

An HMRC enquiry doesn’t necessarily mean a claim is invalid. But if one does arise, the claim needs to stand up to scrutiny.

Last weekend, the randd team took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in support of Macmillan Cancer Support — and I think our legs have just about recovered. 😂

Around 24 miles, 65,000 steps and 7,250 feet of elevation, we made it through! 💪

There was plenty of determination, and definitely a few moments where we questioned why we thought this was a good idea in the first place…

A huge well done to everyone who took part, and a massive thank you to everyone who supported us and helped us raise money for such an important cause 🤍
