From placement student to ACA trainee 👏

Charlie Scattergood joined our team as a Placement Trainee Accountant in September 2024 and continued working with us part-time while completing his studies.

We're thrilled to share that Charlie has now graduated from the University of Derby with a First-Class degree and will be starting his ACA qualification with us.

A fantastic achievement and a testament to Charlie's hard work, dedication and commitment.

Runners-Up! ⚽️

We had a fantastic evening at the annual Blusource Recruitment 5-a-side tournament on Tuesday, held at the new Powerleague Nottingham facility.

After some great team performances and a few impressive goals along the way, we were delighted to finish in second place! 🥈

Congratulations to the winners, a team from UHY Hacker Young, who remained unbeaten throughout the tournament — a well-deserved victory 🏆

A big thank you to the team at Blusource for organising another excellent event. We’re already looking forward to next year!

We are very proud of our colleague and friend Antonia Hall MAAT here at Bates Weston 💙

Antonia recently completed a charity skydive in memory of her dad, Julian, raising invaluable funds for two leading UK cancer charities and a local rising-star athlete.

Julian was passionate about supporting these causes and helping others who may face similar experiences, making the fundraising effort even more meaningful.

After her original jump was postponed due to unsafe weather back in October, Antonia took on the challenge and made the leap — despite overcoming a very real fear of flying. A truly remarkable show of courage and determination.

Together with family and friends, Antonia has already helped raise over £32,000, with more fundraising events planned in the months ahead.

Antonia, what you’ve achieved is truly inspiring — we couldn’t be prouder of you👏
