It's hard to believe that its been over a week since our golf day. This years golf day was quite possibly our best yet! Perfect weather, fantastic players, great golf and lovely food, most importantly over £3,800 raised for Over The Wall Camp. We are so thankful for all of the teams/players, hole sponsors, prize donations and very generous people.

Massive congratulations to Neil King and team for (FINALLY) coming first and securing the last place on the shield!

We have some fantastic hole sponsors for our golf day next Friday but we still have 2 holes available for sponsorship. Its a great opportunity, £40 that goes directly to the charity and you get your name out to all of our players on the day along with social media shout outs.

Landlords, more changes are coming your way...

For years, rental income has been taxed in the same way as most other forms of income. If you were a basic rate taxpayer, you paid 20%. Higher rate taxpayers paid 40%, and additional rate taxpayers paid 45%. However, from 6 April 2027, that is set to change significantly.

The government has introduced a completely separate set of Income Tax rates for property income, meaning landlords will pay more tax on rental profits than employees pay on their employment income. For many property investors, this represents one of the most significant tax changes in recent years.

We have been banging on about MTD for income tax for months... years! But the first quarter period end is looming.

From 6 April 2026, self-employed individuals and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 are now required to:

✅ Keep digital records
✅ Use MTD-compatible software
✅ Submit quarterly updates to HMRC
✅ File a final year-end declaration
