One year ago today, we said goodbye to Judy Young—the visionary who founded Ledgers and shaped everything we are.
In 1987, Judy believed accountancy could be more than numbers. It could be about real partnership, genuine care, and helping local businesses thrive. She built that belief into every interaction, every decision, every team member.
Today, we remember her, and celebrate her legacy, grateful for the foundation she created and the values she embodied.
We miss you, Judy. 🤍

“Judy went over and above her remit, and let me sleep easy at night , safe in the knowledge that everything was being done correctly and on time. Judy would tell you as it is , precise, to the point, and to the law, and was a credit to her profession, the best accountant I have ever had the pleasure to work with” – Jeremy Grove
“Judy, was always friendly and helpful, and tolerant of my creative ways and stupid questions.” – Lee Sparks
“I was struck by the strength and dignity of Judy, how she bore her illness with such courage, putting the needs of others in front of her own. Determined to ensure that her clients would be served, no matter what.” – Maria
“It honestly doesn’t feel like a whole year has passed. She was so much more than a boss, she was someone people genuinely loved being around. Her humour could lighten even the hardest days, and she always made people feel welcome and valued.
What always stood out most was her strength and resilience. No matter what life threw at her, she carried herself with warmth, courage and positivity, and that left a lasting impression on so many people.
I feel incredibly lucky to have known and worked with her. She is deeply missed and will never be forgotten.” – Kerri
