Sobell Rhodes LLP have become the first accountants in the UK to appoint a Global Impact Ambassador, to promote the United Nation’s Global Goals and create a better legacy for our community, children and grandchildren.

The appointment of former UK Entrepreneur of the Year, Steve Pipe, as our Global Impact Ambassador marks a further landmark in Sobell Rhodes’ contribution towards encouraging our community to help create a more sustainable world. Announcing this appointment, Managing Partner, Andrew Rhodes said:

“Sobell Rhodes is committed to playing a leadership role in rising to the challenge of the 17 Global Sustainable Development Goals, formulated by the United Nations, to tackle the key issues facing humanity and the planet, thereby creating a better legacy for our community, children and grandchildren. From August 17th 2020, self-employed individuals who meet the requirements for the second phase of self-employed income support (SEISS), will be able to access HMRC's online service and claim up to £6570 to cover three months' worth of profits.

Since the Budget in March, businesses have seen a stream of different support schemes and policies announced to help them manage the financial impacts of the coronavirus lockdown.
In his update on July 8th Chancellor Rishi Sunak laid out several measures focused on a "three-point plan for jobs". This "second phase" of support is aimed at keeping employment levels as high as possible as the country faces the challenges of a deep global recession.
