Some acts of kindness come along at exactly the right time, and this was one of them. 💚

When Hannah and I were having a really difficult time, Sian very generously gifted us one of her beautiful art packs and let Hannah choose the one she wanted. It may seem like a small gesture, but it meant so much more than she could ever know.

What was shaping up to be a really tough weekend became one filled with laughter, creativity and precious time together. Instead of dwelling on everything that was going on around us, we had something positive to focus on and something we could do side by side.

I haven’t painted since high school and, if I’m honest, I never even enjoyed it back then! But this… I had SOOOO much fun! 🎨

I’m so proud of what we created together, but even more grateful for the kindness behind it. It reminded me that sometimes the simplest acts of generosity can make the biggest difference to someone’s life.

Today didn’t quite go to plan…

My little one wasn’t able to go to school, so my exciting day I had planned went out the window. 🤷‍♀️

But instead of focusing on everything I didn’t get done, I turned my attention to what I could do.

✅ Cleared a mountain of emails.
✅ Met some important deadlines.
✅ Made tomorrow a whole lot easier.

I’ve learned that not every day goes according to plan, whether in business or life. Sometimes the biggest win is simply adapting and making the best of the situation.

There’s almost always a silver lining—you just have to be willing to look for it. 💚

Coworking with these lovely ladies this morning 💚

It helped us all de-scatter our minds (I’m pretty sure that’s not even a real word 🤣) and focus on what actually needed to get done.

When you work for yourself, it’s easy to get caught up in your own head, your never-ending to-do list, and all the little distractions that come with running a business.

This morning was a reminder that you should never underestimate the power of being around other people. Sometimes it’s not about getting advice or solving problems – it’s simply having company, accountability, encouragement, and a good laugh along the way.

Thank you Jo and Ginny for helping me through my morning and for being such wonderful company ☕️✨

Not a bad office for the afternoon… 😍🏙️☀️

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! 🌞

I was incredibly grateful to be invited by Steve from Fairstone to attend a seminar at The Shard, presented by Foresight.

The views were absolutely breathtaking on such a beautiful sunny day, but the information shared was just as impressive! 🏙️✨

✅ We learned about Business Relief and how it can be used as part of Inheritance Tax planning under the new rules coming into effect from April 2026.

As accountants, it’s so important to keep up to date with changes so we can continue to support our clients with the best possible advice and planning opportunities.

Usually when I’m walking to networking, I’m battling the rain with my trusty unicorn umbrella 🦄☔️, but this morning I was treated to beautiful blue skies and sunshine instead!

It’s amazing how a bit of sunshine can completely change your mood and set you up for the day ahead. 💚

Every evening, my dog reminds me that work-life balance is important… but when deadlines need meeting and clients need support, sometimes the laptop wins for a little while longer! 😅

🚨 MTD for Income Tax is coming… but are people actually ready for it?! 👀💚

I’m still speaking to so many sole traders and landlords who either:
❌ Haven’t heard about it
❌ Think it doesn’t apply to them
❌ Believe they’ve got “plenty of time” 😅

Unfortunately… HMRC may disagree 🙈

If your combined:
💼 Sole trader income; and/or
🏡 Property income

EXCEEDED £50,000 in the 2024/25 tax year (before expenses/costs) then you are likely to fall within scope of Making Tax Digital for Income Tax.

This means changes to:
📱 Record keeping
📊 Quarterly submissions
🧾 How and when information is reported to HMRC

There’s really no time to delay getting prepared 💚
