Bad news this week for around 5 million Britons aged 49 to 55. It looks like we’re going to have to work an extra year to get our state pension if the government brings forward the planned increase from age 67 to 68.
The government's own research found "1 in 3 people of working-age people don't believe the UK State Pension will still exist in 30 years." Yet millions are relying on it as part of their retirement plans. Others believe it will exist, but it will be means-tested.
