Considering finance for your business? 💼 Would your bank take the time? Here’s an example where a customer had an urgent need, and I was able to put a proposal in place quickly. ✅

One of our repeat customers, who runs a fleet of vans, needed to introduce a car to his business. Why? As a growing business, he had attracted larger commercial projects, which meant meeting clients and conducting site visits. He felt that turning up in a van didn’t give the best impression for his business, and it also meant the wider team had fewer vehicles available to complete jobs. 🚐

We explored which vehicles would work best for his business, looked at different finance options, and settled on a plan with a deferred final payment (balloon). This gave him the car he wanted, kept the payments affordable, and left room for future flexibility. 💷

Here’s where it got tricky: the deal was agreed just before 10am on Tuesday, but he was stuck on a remote farm finishing deadlines and couldn’t leave the site. I asked him to send me a pin of his location, met him there, got everything signed, and scanned the documents straight to the funder—all while at the customer’s place of work! Because I can speak directly to the decision maker and had the payout team ready, the deal was paid out in under two hours, with the total process from acceptance to dealer receiving funds completed in an incredible FOUR hours. ⚡

Unsurprisingly, the customer was delighted with the outcome. Problems come in all shapes and sizes, and they are not always financial. In this case, it was speed and being on hand to immediately sort things out that made all the difference. 🌟

I’m Martin, based in Inverclyde, and I’ve been running Cove Financial Solutions since March 2022. Before this, I worked as a sales consultant with a prestigious car brand, dealing daily with high-net-worth individuals and business owners. While I valued that experience, I wanted to grow and offer my customers a much wider range of finance options, not be restricted to a limited range.

Now, I work with small to medium-sized businesses mainly across the West of Scotland, as well as clients as far south as South Wales and as far north as Inverness.
