Our accountancy team support a diverse range of clients providing a wide range of services including bookkeeping, cash management, management reporting, VAT returns, financial statements (UK GAAP and IFRS), corporation tax returns, liaison with auditors and company secretarial support and payroll services. We have an exciting opportunity within our practice for a proactive, experienced individual to join us as an Office Administrator to support our growing team.

Are you the right person for the job?

• You will ideally have at least 2 + years’ experience of working in a professional office in an administrative/business support services position
• Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel & MS Outlook in particular)
• Bookkeeping experience an advantage
• Proactive in your approach to the role and the requirements of the firm
• Ability to communicate and interact with staff and clients on a professional level
• Able to organise, manage and control your own workload and adhere to client and office deadlines
• To demonstrate strong organisation skills, whilst also being flexible, keen, and personable
• You should take an enthusiastic and proactive approach to any given task and a willing to help when your colleagues need it.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Reception duties (phone calls, meet & greet visitors/clients)
• Dealing with daily post; scanning incoming & managing outgoing post, overseeing the receipt and safekeep of client records, dealing with couriers, etc.
• Client management and document filing
• Database management
• Client onboarding process
• Overseeing all office maintenance matters including, office supplies, and general office upkeep
• Provision of administrative support to the firm’s tax and accounting teams
• Preparing invoices and overseeing the work in progress position from our internal system
• Assistance with debt collection involving written and telephone communication
• Provide bookkeeping support to the accounts team
• General ad-hoc office duties
• This is a hands-on role, which will require you to work on your own or as a part of a team within the office in Austin Friars, EC2N 2QQ, there will be the possibility of 1 day a week remote working upon successful completion of the probationary period.

The successful candidate will manage a mixed portfolio of approx. 200 clients where they will utilise their experience and technical expertise to provide a high-quality compliance and advisory service to our clients.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer an 8% non-contributory pension, 25 days annual leave plus UK bank holidays, private medical insurance for the employee and their direct family as well as life insurance at 4 x annual salary.
