"Isn't accounting just... maths?" 🤔

It's a question (or something very similar!) we've heard quite a few times over the last couple of weeks.

Between welcoming work experience students into our offices and attending local careers events, we've had some fantastic conversations with young people about careers and what working in accountancy is really like.

The first things that often came to mind were:
📊 Maths
💷 Money
📑 Tax
😴 Boring

But the conversations quickly moved beyond that.

We talked about career opportunities, AI, progression, holidays, salaries and what a typical day actually looks like.

The best part?

Seeing so many young people asking thoughtful questions and being genuinely curious about the different career paths available to them.

Whether they choose accountancy or something completely different, we hope they've come away with a better understanding of the opportunities open to them.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped to chat with us, and to the students who spent time with our teams over the last few weeks. 💚

The sunshine is finally here. ☀️

Business doesn't always get the chance to slow down.

While many people are enjoying the warmer weather, business owners are often busy managing customers, supporting their teams and planning what's next.

Well... this escalated quickly. 💚

When we set ourselves a fundraising target of £4,000 for Little Miracles Charity in 2026, we genuinely hoped we'd get there.

Thanks to the incredible support from our team, clients, sponsors and our local communities, we reached it much sooner than we expected.

So we've made a decision...

🎯 Our new fundraising target for 2026 is £9,000!

More than double our original goal, and we're excited to see how much more we can achieve together.

Every event, every donation and every bit of support helps us make a real difference.

Thank you to everyone who's been part of the journey so far. Let's see how far we can go! 🙌

It's also about finding enough hours in the day ⏰, managing growth 📈, keeping cash flow healthy 💷 and finding the right people 👥

When we speak to business owners, the conversations are often about:

⛳ Nearly £5,000 raised. One fantastic cause. One very successful first golf day.

We're delighted to share that our inaugural Charity Golf Day raised £4,956.56 for Little Miracles Charity.

The event brought together clients, local businesses, sponsors and supporters at Boston Golf Club, helping us exceed our original fundraising target for 2026.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered a team, sponsored a hole, donated raffle prizes or supported the event in any way.

We're incredibly proud of what was achieved and grateful to everyone who got involved ❤️

We’ve learned three things from our Charity Golf Day at Boston Golf Club in aid of Little Miracles Charity:

People are incredibly generous ❤️
The British weather can occasionally cooperate 🌤️
Some golf shots are better left undescribed 😅

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, sponsored a hole, donated raffle prizes, or helped organise the day.

Thanks to your support, we’ve raised valuable funds for a fantastic cause - and had a brilliant day doing it.

We’re just finalising the fundraising total now and can’t wait to share the final figure soon 🙌

In business, that can be as simple as working more efficiently, reducing waste, and making better day-to-day decisions.

It’s something we focus on as a team – and something we help our clients with too.
