Before September hits, try to:

✨ Catch up on your bookkeeping
Don’t leave six months of receipts until January. You know who you are 👀

✨ Check what you’ve put aside for tax
A quick check now can prevent a nasty surprise later.

✨ Get those receipts out of your camera roll
Upload them. File them. Send them to your accountant. Just don’t let them live there forever 😂

📣 MAKING TAX DIGITAL IS COMING

⚠️ MTD for Income Tax starts April 2026

If you’re self-employed or a landlord, HMRC are changing how you report your tax.

Here’s what you need to know 👇

✅ You’ll need to keep digital records
✅ You must use HMRC-approved software
✅ You’ll submit quarterly updates (every 3 months)
✅ Paper records & shoebox receipts won’t be enough anymore

This applies to sole traders and landlords — including rental income from overseas property.

With the right setup, MTD can actually make your tax clearer, more organised and less stressful.
